29/11/2014 In-Running Lays: Back-to-lay Avispa, Bobcatbilly and Cole Harden

12.20 Newbury:  Avispa should be better for her recent debut over hurdles after some great performances that have seen her trade below half of her BSP in her six runs to date including two wins.  She is trading around 7.4 for a back-to-lay.

1.20 Newbury: Bobcatbilly looks to have a great chance of carrying on his good in-running performances in this 2 mile 6 furlong chase.  He has traded belwo half his BSP in his last thirteen runs and todays conditions look ideal for him to go close again; he's currently trading around 13.0.

2.25 Newbury: Cole Harden has race fitness over his main rival More Of That that could see him force the pace and put his opponent under pressure first time out.  Though it's hard to see him winning against the current World Hurdle champion he should trade low enough in-running from the front from his current trading price of 6.0 for a back-to-lay.

Sunday 23 November 2014

23/11/2014 In-Running Lays: Back-to-lay Kauto Grand Mogol

12.55 Navan: Kauto Grand Mogol has traded below half his BSP in all his five runs to date and looks to extend it further while taking a huge step up in class from a Limerick maiden hurdle to a grade 2 novice hurdle.  He is progressive and after giving a lot of weight to his opponents and an 8 length beating in his previous race he looks likely to give a good account of himself racing up with the pace; he currently trades around 6.6 for a back-to-lay.

Wednesday 19 November 2014

19/11/2014 In-Running Lays: Back-to-lay High Aspirations and Voyage A New York

3.10 Warwick: High Aspirations usually travels well in his races before fading but was unlucky last time out when falling when looking likely to win on his chase debut.  He should go close again today in this field of six; he currently trades around 5.3 for a back-to-lay.

3.20 Hexham: Voyage A New York has traded below half his BSP in all runs to date except for his seasonal debuts and has a great chance today to continue his great in-running record.  He has good form on heavy ground and should sit right behind the leaders until challenging for the lead late in the race; he currently trades around 4.6 for a back-to-lay.

Monday 17 November 2014

17/11/2014 In-Running Lays: Back-to-lay Two Moons

5.10 Wolverhampton: Two Moons has traded below half his BSP in all seven runs to date and today he has a very good chance of doing so again in similar conditions.  He tackles Wolverhampton’s Tapeta surface for the first time but he looks versatile running well on both turf and the fibre sand in the past; he currently trades around 8.0 for a back-to-lay.

Saturday 15 November 2014

15/11/2014 In-Running Lays: Back-to-lay The Package and Joyous

1.35 Punchestown: Snooze drops back to 2 mile 6 after racing over further and running creditably but his best performances have come over todays distance.  If he’s fit enough on his seasonal debut then he should go close; he currently trades around 20.0.

1.50 Cheltenham: The Package travels well in to the business end of his races and with his great first time-out record he can be expected to be ready for this. He currently trades around 9.4 for a back-to-lay.

2.35 Lingfield: Battalion should lead this listed event at Linfield for a long way with Fire Fighting making late headway to challenge.  Battalion is trading around 7.0 with Fire Fighting at 6.6; lay both in-running at 40% of the back price to guarantee a profit if just one of them is matched in-running.

5.45 Wolverhampton: Joyous continues to flatter on the all-weather travelling well in to the latter stages but just not going through with what looks like a winning move.  She should run her usual good race again today; she currently trades around 14.0.

Friday 14 November 2014

14/11/2014 In-Running Lays: Back-to-lay Minella Present

3.00 Cheltenham: Minella Present looks one of the best back-to-lays at Cheltenham where the racing looks very competitive.  He’s won his last two races well and takes a big step up in class and could well make the running in this field of seven. He currently trades around 6.6 on betfair.

Uncle Junior runs in the following cross country race at 3.35 that has only attracted a total of eight runners and although he has been out of form he always runs well in this race having won it twice and he finished second to Balthazar King last year when looking a likely winner before hitting the last. He’s trading around 10.0 which could prove to be a big price if he returns to his early season form again for this race.

Tuesday 11 November 2014

11/11/2014 In-Running Lays: Back-to-lay Alderbrook Lad and Crookstown

2.20 Sedgefield: Alderbrook Lad should get an easy lead in this race and with the distance, soft ground fine for him and race fitness on his side he could open up a commanding lead to trade out in-running; he currently trades around 6.0 for a back-to-lay.

2.40 Huntingdon: Crookstown looks to have a great chance of continuing his great in-running record in this novice chase.  He steps up to two and a half miles from two but it won’t be a problem as he was competitive over three miles over hurdles; he currently trades around 7.4 for a back-to-lay.

Monday 10 November 2014

10/11/2014 In-Running Lays: Back-to-lay Whats Up Woody

3.00 Carlisle: Vintage Star won this race last year first time up and he will be trying to do the same again this year.  Last year he enjoyed receiving weight in this race but this year he has to carry joint top weight along with Rival D’Estruval who could be worth playing as he as such a good record in-running and won first time out last year here at Carlisle.  Rival D’Estruval is trading around 9.4 and Vintage Star at 5.4; lay back both at 40% of the back odds.

3.30 Carlisle: If you can get 4.0 or better on Whats Up Woody then he is worth doing a back-to-lay in this race.  He’s a front runner that traded down to 1.59 in-running from a BSP of 8.6 here at Carlisle last time and should go close again from the front.

Saturday 8 November 2014

08/11/2014 In-Running Lays: Back-to-lay Lady Tiana and Magie Pink

2.05 Wincanton: Woodland Walk and Lily Waugh both have both traded low in-running regularly and both are were both playing at 40% of the back odds; Woodland Walk trades around 16.0 while Lily Waugh is trading around 13.0.

2.30 Sandown: Roudoudou Ville won his in 2011 and should go close again today in similar conditions. He missed the 2012 season and most of the next year and slowly returned to form in his last couple of races and seems well supported today so a good run looks to be expected; he currently trades around 9.6.

3.00 Doncaster: Lady Tiana has excelled in soft ground handicaps with two easy wins and now steps up to listed class after beating Ty Gwr 3 lengths who then went on to win next time out on similar ground. Lady Tiana should travel well in this race and represents a good back-to-lay at 6.6.

4.05 Doncaster: Maggie Pink has some decent form on soft ground and returned back to turf with a win last time out after a long stint on the all-weather since finishing second in this race last year.  She will race up with the pace and could even lead in this race; she currently trades around 18.0 which is a great price for a back-to-lay on him.

Thursday 6 November 2014

06/11/2014 In-Running Lays: Back-to-lay Gurkha Brave

3.00 Musselburgh: 2 mile 4 furlongs is probably a little bit further than what Gurkha Brave wants but he will travel well for a long way to trade out.  He currently trades around 10.0 for a back-to-lay.  Also of interest at the right price in the same race is Bogside who hasn’t run for since December last year but has run well after a break previously.  If you can back him at 20.0+ then he is worth a back-to-lay.

Wednesday 5 November 2014

05/11/2014 In-Running Lays: Back-to-lay Owen Na View and Moohaarib

1.30 Warwick: Owen Na View has traded exceptionally low in his three chases to date to 1.44, 1.11 and 2.14.  Today’s race looks another good opportunity for him to trade low for a back-to-lay and possibly with split stakes at shorter odds as he’s yet to register a win under rules; he currently trades around 7.0.

1.50 Nottingham: Moohaarib will just be big enough for a back-to-lay around 4.2.  He travels well in his races and makes easy headway to see his price drop late on.

2.20 Nottingham: Come On Dave races prominently and usually challenges late on to see him trade low in-running quite often.  His last run at Nottingham saw him trade down to 3.10 from a BSP of 18.0; he currently trades around 12.0 which is a great price for a back-to-lay.

Tuesday 4 November 2014

04/11/2014 In-Running Lays: Back-to-lay Pepite Rose and Phare Isle

2.15 Exeter: Pepite Rose looks a great back-to-lay in this limited handicap. She is up against some really good horses but she meets them on better terms than she would in graded races that she competes in regularly, including a second to Sire De Grugy last season at Sandown.  She travels very well in to her races and she usually ends up leading late on and with many of these horses targeting bigger races she could well push them close at 16.0 for a back-to-lay at half the price.

3.15 Exeter: Bobcatbilly has traded below half his BSP in-running in his last 12 runs and with the booking of McCoy he should get a positive ride that should see him up with the pace.  McCoy has ridden him twice before winning on him both times; he currently trades around 16.0. Also running is Rydalis who looked a likely winner of this race last year who has a habit of idling when hitting the front and losing races when looking the winner.  Venetia Williams horses are running well and she should give a good account of herself first time up; she trades around 14.0 for a back-to-lay.

3.45 Exeter: Phare Isle likes to race behind the pace and usually travels well for long enough to trade low in-running for a back-to-lay.  He will be better for his seasonal reappearance and at around 18.0 is a great back-to-lay bet.

Monday 3 November 2014

03/11/2014 In-Running Lays: Back-to-lay Royal Regatta

2.05 Kempton: Tinker Time and Hatters River both look good back-to-lay bets in this race as they both have great in-running trading histories.  You should be able to back both at greater than 6.0 pre-race and lay back at 3.0 in-running to make a little profit even if just one is matched in-running.

2.35 Kempton: Philip Hobbs horses are in great form and Royal Regatta looks a good back-to-lay opportunity in this class 2 handicap.  He has been contesting big handicaps at Cheltenham and despite not finishing very well he has traded below half his BSP in all those runs; he currently trades around 8.0.

Sunday 2 November 2014

02/11/2014 In-Running Lays: Back-to-lay Solita and Up To Something

3.00 Nass: Solita is in great form and seeking her third win on the bounce.  She’s up 7lb for her first handicap win last time out but gets 7lb claimer Luke Dempsey to negate the rise.  She should travel well in to the race to see her price contract from her current price of 7.4 for a back-to-lay.

3.45 Carlisle: Up To Something looks a decent back-to-lay in this 2 mile 4 furlong listed race where he gets 10lb from the likes of Eduard and Holywell who will find this a little on the sharp side as he is more of a stayer.  Up To Something looks like he could well lead in this race and at around 13.0 you should be able to lay back at half those odds if he can take them along and get some of those behind in trouble.

Saturday 1 November 2014

01/11/2014 In-Running Lays: Back-to-lay Air Pilot and Cole Harden

2.35 Newmarket: Air Pilot won’t mind the cut in the ground should race just behind the pace to challenge late on.  He’s trading around 4.6 for a back-to-lay.

2.40 Wetherby: Cole Harden takes on At Fishers Cross who ran flat first time up last season andis worth taking on as he  is prone to making mistakes.  Cole Harden should lead in this small field for long enough to see his price contract enough for a trade out especially if the favourite makes one of his customary mistakes and flattens a hurdle; he currently trades at 4.6 for a back-to-lay.
