31/01/2015 In-Running Lays: Back-to-lay Got TheNac and De Benno

12.50 Fairyhouse: Followmeuptocarlow looks worth a back-to-lay in this chase. He usually makes late headway but tends not to see it through; he currently trades around 4.4.

12.55 Ffos Las: Got The Nac traded all the way down to 15.0 from a BSP of 88.0 in-running last time out in a grade 2 hurdle against The New One.  Today’s race is much easier and he should be allowed to dominate in the lead and looks a good back-to-lay at his current price of 5.0.

1.20 Fairyhouse: De Benno has traded below half his BSP in all his eight runs to date with only a single win to his name. He currently trades around 4.6 which looks a great back-to-lay.

1.50 Sandown: Both Ballygarvey and Festive Affair look to have great chances of trading low in-running.  They both like to race right up with the pace and lead so it could be worth playing both at 40% of the back price in-running for one of them to get matched for a profit and even better if both are matched.   Festive Affair currently trades at 6.2 while Ballygarvey trades at 6.8.

24/01/2015 In-Running Lays: Back-to-lay Broadway Symphony, Irish Cavalier and Royal Regatta

1.15 Cheltenham: Irish Cavalier likes to race prominently in his races which has seen him trade low in running at below half his BSP in eight of his nine runs to date.  The only time he failed to do so he was up against the likes of Cole Harden and Un Temps Au Tout.  He’s trading around 15.0 for a back-to-lay.

1.30 Doncaster: Royal Regatta traded all the way down to 1.09 from a BSP of 2.12 last time out and has traded less than half his BSP in all nine runs to date; including his last two chase starts.  He currently trades at 5.6 for a back-to-lay.

1.40 Uttoxeter: Broadway Symphony looks to have a great chance of continuing his great in-running record. He went close last time out when stepped up to this trip of 3 mile and has run well on heavy ground today so should be able give a good account again; he currently trades around 8.0.

4.10 Cheltenham: Diamond King should go very close in this 2 mile 1 furlong handicap hurdle.  He likes to race prominently while the market leader Dell Arca will probably be held up at the back so he could get first run and trade low late on as the race heats up; he currently trades around 5.2 for a back-to-lay.

17/01/2015 In-Running Lays: Back-to-lay Mischievous Milly and Dark Spirit

1.50 Ascot: Mischievous Milly and the Strong travelling Dark Spirit both look good back-to-lays in this 3 mile chase.  They are both stepping up to 3 miles but both travel well; especially Dark Spirit while Mischievous Milly should be better for her reappearance run last time out when going well late on before tiring after making mistakes over the third and third last hurdles.  Mischievous Milly trades at 7.0 while Dark Spirit is around 9.8; you could back them both and lay back at 40% of the back price to make a profit if just one of them trades low enough.

3.00 Ascot: Sprinter Sacre has an amazing win strike-rate but has to be vulnerable in this 2 mile 1 furlong chase first time out after over a year off through injury.  Nicky Henderson doesn’t seem to be giving much away regards how he will perform but there does seem to be very positive vibes coming from the Paul Nicholls yard about Dodging Bullets who put in a great performance last time out.

Without injury Sprinter Sacre would probably be around 1.2 for this race but I wouldn’t want to be laying evens about him but I would chance 1.5 in-running as he travels so well and if he’s back to somewhere near his best he wins.  I would chance a little at 1.5 in-running that he won’t be fully wound-up and this will be stepping stone to Cheltenham later.

3.15 Haydock: Benbens has been in great form and has traded below half his BSP in his last 11 runs and today’s race looks another great opportunity to do so again.  He currently trades around 8.4 for a back-to-lay.

11/01/2015 In-Running Lays: Back-to-lay Mallowney and Anonymous John

2.30 Fairyhouse:  Mallowney reverts back to handicap company after contending some tough graded races and should remain competitive in this race.  He’s currently trading around 10.0 for a back-to-lay.

2.50 Chelmsford: Anonymous John looks a good back-to-lay bet in this one mile event. He’s been racing over 6 and 7 furlongs and this will be his first attempt over this longer distance but he should travel well in to the latter stages to trade low with his natural speed before any stamina issues take their toll at the finish.  He currently trades around 5.60 for a back-to-lay.

03/01/2015 In-Running Lays: Back-to-lay Leish Oscar, Williams Wishes and Island Confusion

1.15 Sandown: Until Winning raced prominently on his chase debut last time out trading all the way down to 2.16 in running before tiring.  He will have benefitted from the jumping experience and now fitter should go close; he trades around 5.0 for a back-to-lay.

1.50 Sandown: Williams Wishes is a previous winner of this race and looks to have been targeted at a repeat. He won’t find todays soft going a problem and at 4.80 is a great back-to-lay bet.

2.15 Newcastle: Island Confusion traded all the way down to 1.60 in-running last time out here at Newcastle and should run another great race here again; he currently trades at 5.40 for a back-to-lay.

2.20 Cork: Leish Oscar should find today trip and going ideal to improve further on his great in-running record; he currently trades around 4.40 for a back-to-lay.

3.10 Lingfield: Hardy Black has been running well in-running without seeing out his races and today’s race looks another good chance for him to trade low in running if he either forces the pace or makes late headway; he trades around 6.0.

3.35 Sandown: Tinker Time has been in great form of late winning 3 of his last 4 races and should go close again in this tough handicap;  look to back at 14.0+ to lay back at half those odds in-running.

02/01/2015 In-Running Lays: Back-to-lay Silverton, Stopped Out and Pancake Day

2.40 Ayr: Silverton ran well on his chase debut from his hurdling campaign and traded well below his BSP in-running.  He should benefit from the chasing experience and at his current price of 6.6 is a decent back-to-lay opportunity.

3.10 Ayr: Stopped Out is in great form and should run well again over ground and distance that has seen him run his best races.  He currently trades around 7.4 for a back-to-lay.

4.45 Wolverhampton: Pancake Day enjoyed his first win last time out and has been bumped up 5lb for his narrow win.  He has only failed once to trade below half his BSP in nine runs to date so should be backed to carry on his great in-running record; he currently trades around 8.80 for a back-to-lay.

01/01/2015 In-Running Lays: Back-to-lay Shakalakaboomboom, Cole Harden and Ty Gwr

12.45 Cheltenham: Shakalakaboomboom is sure to be up with the pace for a long time in this 3 mile 2 furlong chase.  He should be fitter for his recent return and at his current trading price of 14.0 looks a decent back-to-lay.

2.25 Fakenham:  Isaac Bell likes to race right behind the pace and at his current trading price of 6.2 looks a fair back-to-lay bet.

3.05 Cheltenham: Cole Harden drops back in distance from 3 mile to 2 mile 4 furlong but that won’t be any problem for this tough front-runner who led the field along in the Neptune Investment hurdle at the festival until three out.  He’s currently trading around 8.6 for a back-to-lay.

3.45 Southwell: Ty Gwr steps up to a more suitable 1 mile 3 furlong after finishing 5th at Wolverhampton last time over 8.5 furlongs which was further compounded by missing the break. He’s currently trading around 9.4 for a back-to-lay on this strong travelling closer that should come with a late run.
