14/07/2014 In-Running Lays

14/07/2014 20:10 Killarney Lisduane

14/07/2014 18:40 Killarney Shanooan

14/07/2014 20:00 Windsor Alys Love

14/07/2014 18:00 Windsor Joyous

‘Joyous’ looks at solid double up chance in the 18:00 at Windsor, she travels and finishes off her races well and if reproducing the same will trade low in running.

‘Alys Love’ may be worth a speculative back-to-lay at a short price.   This will be her first run in an handicap having raced in maidens for the last three races and prior to that was tried in a group 3 company finishing 7 lengths behind J Wonder.  She will probably go off 16.0+ and so you could try a lay back at 2.5 for a big win.

‘Shanooan’ has traded below 10% of BSP in her last two runs and from really big BSP’s which will be the same for today as she’s is currently available to back at 110.  Her running style of either leading or tracking the pace should see her trade low if she can maintain it going to the last two furlongs.

‘Lisduane’ is a reserve in the 20:10 at Killarney and has gone off at massive prices recently including once at 1000 when she actually traded in-running at 65.  In five of her six runs to date she has traded below 50% of her BSP and the other time just failing to when going off at 161 on BSP and trading in-running down to 85.  If she does get in to today’s race then she is worth a back-to-lay as she does race prominently before fading late on.

  1. Joyous ran her usual race prominently and briefly led before finishing and traded to a low of 3.20 from her BSP of 10.28

Shanooan traded as low as 26 in-running having started at 46 on BSP. This horse was available at 110.0 pre-race before its priced collapsed minutes before the start of the race. She travelled well in second place for much of the race allowing a comfortable double-up provided you didn’t end up with the BSP.

Alys Love travelled just behind the leaders but never settled and pulled for its head for a long way so nobody was prepared to back it. Lisduane travelled well enough in its race just behind the leaders but there was no interest in this horse in running who was under pressure from a long way out.

Yesterday’s racing was low quality and proved tough to profit from with big priced selections carrying our money.
